As a dad it can be hard to be in the military. We miss so many important moments in our children’s lives. I am fortunate to have kids that understand I am doing this for them and all children so we can be safe. They have understood that is why I have missed so many dance recitals and soccer games that I would have loved to have been a part of. However my daughter was getting married and I knew I had to be there. I had to be the one to walk her down the aisle. I would have loved to help her plan her wedding from invitations to wedding favors but that was impossible. I was on active duty so time was against me. I asked for and was granted leave. Only her mom and I knew I was going to be there. I do not know who was feeling more emotion when the moment to line up came. One by one the family members went out and then it was my turn. I turned the corner to find myself face to face with my daughter. I was so in shock and so was she. We just stood there. I do not know what happened next because I just grabbed her and did not want to let her go for the next couple of minutes. Then the wedding began and I could not have been prouder.…

It is the morning of our wedding and everything looks so good. We went through everything on our check list to make certain it was all in place. The church hall is so beautiful. You just want to walk through it because of the pathway that is lined for the wedding walk. The reception area looks so formal with the beautiful table settings and center pieces. It is all about the details. Having usedpersonalized napkins as opposed to regular napkins and having the flutes engraved all make the table look as it is. We even have monogrammed chargers on the tables for that extra something that brings it all together. I can not think of anything we left out of this wedding design that would have improved it in any way. That is the beauty of having my mom help. She and I are both perfectionists. Sometimes it can be a problem when we work together if we both have different visions. If we have the same vision it can be a masterpiece which is exactly what our wedding has turned into. Our guests are going to be very impressed with how beautiful everything turned out. I can hardly wait for everyone to see it. I will be so nervous I do not know if I will notice the guests. Time to put on my dress my wedding is just an hour away.…
We all know how important the wedding invitations are. They are, after all, the first thing that your guests will see regarding your wedding. For many of the guests who receive them it may be how they find out about the engagement as well. These invitations are packed full of important information. They are both vital for the guests and for the couple in regards to the value of the information. The couples can include a RSVP card with the invitations so they will have a better idea of how many guests intend to come to the wedding. The guests may be able to include any allergies or special food needs with the returned cards. You may also mention if the entire family is invited when you send your invitations so you can make provisions for the younger children. For the guests these cards hold the time, date and location. They also may give a hint of the wedding theme. We have had invitations that told us to dress for a beach themed wedding. They have also included a hint of a formal wedding by mentioning the wedding was a black tie affair. Weddings are all so different it is a nice touch when you have an idea of what the dress will be. We have had three invitations on our fridge at once which remind us of our schedules so we will not miss any of the wedded events.…
